It’s the least wonderful time of the year

It’s here again, the bi-annual Amazon review purge.

And it’s got some publishers SHOOK.

My books have no reviews now”

“They’re deleting organic reviews as well!”

“Is Kindle Publishing dead now?”

Well, if you haven’t already realized this – the entire Amazon review system is broken.

I know it.

Amazon knows it.

Amazon customers know it.

The system is broken and there’ s no way to fix it.

So what can we do to combat this?

Because while reviews do matter

They matter less than you think.

One publisher I know sold $3K worth of one book in June – it has 2 reviews with an average of 3 stars.

Back to the matter at hand.

What can you do to grow your business despite this latest review-hoo-ha.

It’s simple – focus on what you can control.

In other words, what are the elements of your publishing business which you can use to maximize revenue outside of reviews?

Like email marketing for example.

Have you ever launched a book with email before?

Do you have any kind of backend affiliate promotions set up?

Because while these aren’t a “quick fix” for your Kindle business (nothing I teach is)

They will set you up for consistent, long-term profits.
